With 22 years of international corporate experience, he has trained and coached managers and executives in a variety of industries throughout Europe, the USA and Asia Pacific Region. Adrian found early career success in the travel industry followed by significant HRD positions with Thomas Cook, B Sky B, Safeway and Expedia.com where he was responsible for core management training, leadership development programmes, and organization and talent development .

Andrew

Over the past 15 years Andrew has built up extensive global experience in a range of multinational companies such as Bell, Nortel and Juniper Networks. He began his career as a systems engineer but quickly moved into management roles including Product Marketing Manager, Senior Manager Business Strategy for Asia, and Regional Marketing Director for Asia Pacific.

 

In 2006 he became a full time management trainer, coach and consultant and has built a reputation as a creative and engaging trainer with expert skills in a wide range of subjects. Andrew has designed and delivered training in leadership, strategic planning, business, marketing and selling skills.

 

With 2 first degrees in Economics, then Electrical Engineering, he later gained an MSc and an MBA. He is presently reading for his Phd in Global Leadership. Andrew has lectured at Peking and Tsinghua Universities. He is a certified MBTI® practitioner and delivers training in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Angela

 

Angela is a seasoned training professional with a strong background in banking. Her 25 years of working experience include 7 years at senior management level with DBS Bank where she headed training teams in Shanghai , Hong Kong and Singapore . She is now a full time management trainer and has designed and delivered a range of programmes including Customer Service, Relationship Selling, Portfolio Management, Sales Leadership and Leadership for Performance and Retention. Angela joined the MDS team in 2008.

 

Her formal education includes a Bachelor of Business (Distinction) at the University of Technology in Sydney , followed by an MSc in Training and Human Resource Management from the University of Leicester . She is also a Certified Practising Accountant in Australia (CPA (Aust.)) and holds the Certificate of International Investment Advice (IIAC (UK)) from the Securities Institute of the UK .

 

She is a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Steps I and II , The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Franklin Covey® , and Persuasive Communication – Think on Your Feet® . Angela is fluent in Cantonese and English.

Angela Keane

 

Angela is a professional leadership trainer and executive coach with over 20 years ofcorporate experience spanning the UK, Asia Pacific Region and global media markets.

 

Originally from Ireland, Angela moved to London and built an impressive 14 year career at News International (publishers of The Times and The Sunday Times). She worked her way up through the organisation to become a senior manager and head of the international advertisement department. In this role she was responsible for a worldwide network of representatives, including extensive training and coaching throughout Europe and Asia.

 

She then moved to Singapore to join Dow Jones where she lead the re-launch of the Far Eastern Economic Review. With her extensive experience managing and directing staff in a global operation, Angela gained valuable insight into cross cultural and international management issues.

 

She has been a full-time management trainer, consultant and executive coach since 2002 and possesses particular expertise in communication, cross-cultural training and executive coaching.

 

Angela has worked with senior leaders at top companies throughout China. Her recent clients include Boston Consulting Group, Novo Nordisk, Bayer, Siemens, European Union, The British Council, Nokia and Coca Cola.

Angeli

 

Angeli is a professional leadership trainer with more than 20 years work experience in hotel management and international training. She has worked extensively as an internal consultant, leadership trainer and coach.

 

With an impressive career record at senior management levels with the Hyatt Group , Angeli gained valuable international experience working with executive teams in Shanghai , Beijing , Tianjin , Hong Kong, Taipei , Guam, Manila and Chicago .

 

Angeli is now a full time leadership trainer and joined the MDS team in 2008.

 

With a BBA (Travel Industry Management) from the University of Hawaii , Angeli gained her Executive MBA at the China Europe International Business School in Shanghai in 2006. Daniel

Daniel is a very experienced training professional with a particular focus on change management, performance management and interpersonal skills training.

 

After a 15 year international career in banking where he gained solid management experience, he transferred into learning and development in a full time training manager role with the Bank of China. He has solid training and consulting experience with a variety of clients including Li and Fung Trading, Dah Chong Hong, Deloitte, Medtronic, Iveco, Bank of America, IBM, W.L. Gore, Clariant, Kingfisher, Turner, Veolia Water, Yantian International Terminal and Delphi , designing and delivering a wide range of training programmes mainly in change, performance management, team building, coaching, motivation and communications.

 

Daniel has an MBA from HK City University. He is accredited to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ® (MBTI ® ) Step I and II and is a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (IANLP). Grace

Grace is a seasoned sales, marketing and training professional with over 20 years experience in the technology sector.

 

She has worked with major MNCs and held positions as Channel Sales Manager, Marketing Director and Regional Sales Manager. After 6 years as an engineer she moved into marketing with Compaq Computers and the into Sales as Channel Sales Manager with Siemens Nixdorf.

 

In 2005 she joined GE Security and served as Regional Sales Manager for West China for 3 years. During this time she received the GE Security Leadership Award for her achievements in sales and management. Since 2007 Grace has pursued a consulting career in marketing, sales and business development. Her specialist areas include sales, technical team performance management, formulating business plans and coaching of senior managers, mostly for major corporations.

 

With a Diploma in Civil Engineering (Chengdu Aviation College) she later gained her Diploma in English from the Chengdu Meteorology University and a Pre-masters Degree in Management from Sichuan University. Grace spent a year in the UK in 2003 – 4 and gained her MBA (Marketing) at the University of Liverpool. She is also a Certified Psychological Consultant with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (PRC). Grace delivers programmes in her native Mandarin, and is fluent in English. She lives in Chengdu.

Guy

Guy has over twenty five years international management experience encompassing sales, technical service and training.  His particular skills are business development, change management and delivering training.

 

After graduating, Guy spent 4 years as a management trainee in production and later installing capital projects in the food industry. From there he moved into export sales of capital equipment with APV Baker Plc, which took him regularly to West Africa where he managed to revitalise a business struggling under the weight of a collapsing oil price. He then went on to build businesses in Hong Kong, China and other parts of Asia Pacific. On entering senior management he spent the next fifteen years managing sales teams handling the UK and continental Europe, starting by creating a new multimillion pound engineered solutions business in the middle of the early ‘90’s recession for Applied Power Inc. After reaching board level in the engineering industry Guy then went into IT where he managed, rebuilt and cross-trained a team of 40 multilingual engineers for Silicon Graphics. Guy has also spent five years running his own company and delivering training. He is now Associate Director with MDS responsible for the Miller Heiman business in Greater China.

 

Guy has an honours degree in Biochemistry from University College London, a post graduate adult education certificate from London University’s Institute of Education; he is a member of the Chartered Institutes of Management and Marketing,  a native  English speaker and fluent in French and German. Guy is based in Hong Kong, a qualified Miller Heiman sales trainer for Strategic Selling, Conceptual Selling, Sales Funnel Management and Sales Access Manager. He is also a regular writer on sales and management issues and a speaker on sales issues for the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

Howard

Howard is an experienced trainer with extensive experience in identifying development needs, learning and development strategy planning, programme development and delivery.

Jack

Jack is a seasoned manager, consultant and trainer with more than 20 years of work experience in multinational companies.

 

With more than 18 years of direct people management, and years as a training manager for a large multinational company, Jack has successfully developed and coached countless individual contributors and understands the challenges global managers face in developing their people and achieving business goals.

 

He has delivered many training programmes in leadership, teambuilding, change management, communication, and performance management. His professional and training experience spans across many different industries including sales and marketing, manufacturing, technology, finance, pharmaceutical and government agencies.

Jonathan

Jonathan is a creative and energetic trainer with extensive experience in the PRC and the Asia Pacific region. He has designed and delivered over 100 programmes in key management skills including leadership, problem solving, communication, teambuilding and many others.


Jonathan has over 15 years' experience of both managing operations and developing people. He has worked with global corporations in pharmaceuticals and FMCG establishing training and development functions from scratch, both in Hong Kong and China. At present, he travels extensively across Asia and the Middle East to deliver training or projects to corporate clients


He has a Masters degree in Training from the University of Leicester and has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. Marco

Marco is a very experienced senior consultant in personnel development and organisational behaviour and is expert in the use of psychometric instruments. He has strong facilitation skills in management development programmes, particularly using MBTI® applications.


He has delivered consulting, coaching and training services to a wide range of global companies and is currently Managing Director of the Korean Psychological Testing Institute (KPTI) in Seoul, the Korean distributor and accreditation centre for the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) and several other instruments.


He has an Industrial Engineering degree and MBA from Yonsei University and a PhD in Human Resource Management from Kwangwoon University. He is a well known researcher and writes frequently for academic journals.

Paul T.

Paul, one of our international associates, is a learning and development specialist with more than 30 years experience of professional, managerial and consultant roles in HR and Learning & Development in a major global organisation. For the past 4 years he has worked as an external coach and learning & development consultant. His programmes cover a wide range of development areas including major change initiatives, behavioural skills, leadership development and executive coaching. Paul also designs assessment and development centres as well as assisting clients at all stages of the learning and development supply chain.


During a distinguished career with BP, Paul had postings across Africa, Asia, the Middle East and in Azerbaijan.He is a gifted cross-cultural specialist.


Paul has a BSc in Applied Chemistry, a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management and a Certificate in Training and Development. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FICPD), and a Member of the Association for Coaching (MAC). Robin

Robin founded MDS Ltd. in 1995, followed by OI Partners Hong Kong (part of the world's largest career consulting partnership) in 1998. He is a specialist trainer for senior management groups focusing particularly on leadership and teambuilding for top teams using the MBTI®, Leadership 360™ and EQ-i® instruments. He is also a skilled facilitator of experiential learning exercises.


Robin has over 25 years' experience of both managing operations and developing people. Following a first career in the Royal Navy, he specialised in Human Resource Development and worked in a range of industries from oil services to travel.


He has a first degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Leeds and a Master of Management degree in Human Resource Management from Macquarie University in Sydney. He lectures in organisational behaviour, management and HRM for the Hong Kong University SPACE team. Sarah

Sarah is a seasoned management trainer with her own successful track record as a senior manager. Her 10 years in management included positions in the retail industry at the area and regional level. For the last 10 years she has been a management trainer and consultant. She is an Australian citizen and has been living and working in Beijing since 2008.

 

During her first career in the retail industry she held senior management positions including regional manager of 16 stores across the State of Victoria. During these 10 years she also served as a training manager for 1 year in the UK, successfully introducing a fast track management development programme for the House of Fraser. During her 10 years in the learning and development profession she has become a talented management trainer. After a period as trainer with the Australian Retailers Association she spent 4 years as a contract trainer for major organisations such as the Australia Post and designed a range of certification programmes for Australian industry training boards.

 

Sarah’s subjects include sales, operations management, communications, frontline management, leadership and train the trainer. As well as her management consulting work she has also served as a lecturer with the School of Business Services, Finance and Leadership at the University of Ballarat (Australia). Her subjects include organisational learning, organisational change and organisational analysis. Tommy

Over the past 12 years Tommy has been working in the field of leadership and management training as a trainer and consultant. Tommy has previous experience in the Hong Kong Police Force as a Detective Senior Inspector (15 years) plus extensive training experience in banking. Following his studies in personality and psychology in recent years, Tommy has successfully integrated into his leadership training both understanding of personality and real workplace experiences.

 

Whilst working in the Learning and Development Department, Asia-Pacific Region of HSBC as a Leadership and Management Training Manager, Tommy was not only responsible for delivering training courses to the HSBC establishments in the AP Region, but also assigned as Master Trainer for “Presentation Skills”, “Negotiation Skills” and “Performance Coaching” as well as various levels of leadership programmes.
